Professional People Person

Born and raised in Chicago, I have been traveling the world since I was young. My favorite place is Athens, Greece, where I studied abroad and loved interacting with new people and ancient places. In college, I wanted to combine my love of communication and interaction with my excitement about events and welcoming people, so I majored in Public Relations and Advertising and double-minored in Event Planning and Hospitality Leadership at DePaul, graduating in June 2024.

I am passionate about Copywriting and how words can impact and influence the world. In 2023, I interned at a PR agency that specializes in events and cultural institutions, where I learned to love media strategy, creative brainstorming, and working with clients to help them connect with their audience. I know that I need a career that allows me to shine with my fearless people skills. Social anxiety should fear me as I have never let it stand in my way.

My Interests and Values

I value connections with people: In all of my jobs and courses, I have prioritized getting to know people from all backgrounds and perspectives, listening to their stories, and making everyone around me feel welcome and accepted. Working in the hospitality/food and beverage industry taught me that I can relate to anyone if I listen with curiosity and care. I’m a digital native, but I value IRL connections even more.

I value challenging, creative work: My ideal work day would be super busy, filled with idea generation, writing, learning, and collaboration.

I value the discipline of health and wellness: Healthy eating and working out take a lot of discipline, but are worth it to me to achieve positivity in my outlook and balance in my life. Weightlifting several times a week can be mentally difficult; however, pushing through and completing the task feels very rewarding. In the workplace, I know that there will be tasks that are challenging, but persevering the same way that I do in the gym will help me succeed.
